Pigalle part 3

Today, I received all the papers of the 65 Bug.

Its austrian title proofs:

IT IS A ONE-OWNER CAR!

BTW: The sunroof is still working.

 

After my Digicam was´nt very amoused about the fu*king cold weather, 

my Iphone was´nt abel to shot good pictures too.

Problem was the bad light inside the hall.

This two pic´s are the only ones i could shot 

while the seller was lighting with a extremly bright and heavy handlamp,

standing on a ladder...

Its done...

In February,

after the previous owner cleaned up his garage,

I´ll pick up the Bug and then its time

for a photo-session.

Sad day.

Yesterday, the austrian aircooled comunity has lost one of its fabulous members.
Michi "Air-Only"  passed away after a long suffering on cancer at the age of 34.
He left his wife, two children, his family and a lot of friends full of sadness.

Michi, wo auch immer du jetzt auch bist, ich wünsche dir alles erdenklich Gute.
Deine sonnige Persönlichkeit möge in deinen Kindern weiterleben.
Wir sehen uns, alter Freund.

1965 Pigalle

Ok.
Now im nervous.
Someone calls me this afternoon to sell his `65 Bug.
Mhm.
Nice.
But not the car I want.
If i would buy a Bug, I search one of the ´57 -´64 aera.
But then he offers me exactly what he want to sell.
He is talking about a car witch is the only version of a post 1964 Bug I would like to have.
And now it seems it has crossed my way.

A 1300 Export with the rare Pigalle interior in very used but allover virgin condition.

There are 2 facts about this Bug who makes it so much more interesting for me:
First, the owner promised me, the interior is in a complet and good condition.
Second, the car was factory-delivered with a Golde steel sunroof witch is still working!
This Pigalle Bug was stored the last 17 years and is still waiting for someone who kiss it awake.
It is naturally in need of more than just a little TLC but the pics the seller was sending me by mail promises a very good car for a nice project.
Next week, I´ll a meet the owner and I have that feeling this Bug is worth to take a closer look.

for me while serching a
completly different kind
of ride for my wife.
I think the black ´68 is mine soon.
Or should I better buy the `58 Bug
I found last Friday (no pic´s, sorry folks) ?

Clearing Hallien.

Here are so pics from Cheri while we where clearing
our garage in March 2009.

Thanx to Lupo and many other who helped us more
than any good friend would do normally.

So much time is gone and nothing happens?

I bet you recon´ it that for more than a year nothing really happens on our blog and homepage.
We have to say sorry for that, but some of us where in need of a longer break after the shock that our garage "Hallien" was quited by the owners.
I can tell you, it was a big job to get all of our stuff out of this garage.
The time that we had left to bring all the crap out of there was to short to find a new home for us immediatly.
Many of our projects where quited and the bigger part of our stuff where sold or wasted..

In February my wife and me become parents the first time and a big private whorst case was happening to us the same time.The time was good for a break.

and Cheri was founding volksfranzosen.blogspot.com with Lupo.

But aircooled-nation.com is still alive!

What will happen next?
We will see.. ;)

Which Colour for the next Project???

I’m very unsteady which Colour my next Type 3 should have?

Here the Top 3 from my Side!
Original colour form the 1500 S Squareback is Nutria brown.
But I will change the Interior to red because the original Interior is …..





I hope you can give me some assistance for this world-shaking decision.

Mster AirOnly´s ´61

This pearlwhite ´61 was in for a 2 circle brake update,
because the original one of this Bug was´nt
what Mr. Playitsafe want to have.
All the lines and hoses where renewed as well.

Unfortunally, just before the owner was comin´ to Hallien to pick up his Bug,
the clutch release bearing where broken.

So, at the moment the Bug waits again at Hallien.
A engine overhaul will come next by this occasion.

Hearseback

Squareback´s let me create this:

I simply like those Hearseback´s.
